       @zleap @gamingonlinux @Raspberry_Pi Mastodon can get expensive to run pretty quickly, a Pi doesn't have enough CPU power for anything but a tiny instance.

       @thor I submitted a PR adding descriptions for S3 env vars in November. It's a no-brainer, but it still has not been merged. And there are a lot more PRs like it. I wish they'd add add some community maintainers.

       @webmink @libreoffice On my Lenovo Duet, Linux is unusable due to extremely poor performance. It's beyond me why they use VMs and not containers, like they already do for Android.

       @pixel @dansup @pixelfed I don't think PHP is much worse than e.g. Python or Ruby, but I don't start new projects in those either because they have poor performance and no static typing.We've had better languages for years that are elegant, fast and statically typed, notably Nim and Crystal. Or Go if trade elegance for ecosystem. It's fine to pick what you know, but that doesn't necessarily make it the best choice for the project.

       @galdor Syntax highlighting usually tells you the type, and you only need to pay attention around numbers or some bool values (yes/no).Yaml is fine.
