@foone Your message is well received. I 100% agree with the "fuck you, doing it anyway" methods and have done some of the things you mention, like wrapping a shitty Java hardware controller with xdotool, editing binaries, replacing the dynamic linker to use different libc.My first job involved protocol normalizers for financial data, and included putting an API around things designed for a dedicated rs232 attached terminal.

It occurred to me recently that a video is a three dimensional array of pixels that we view in slices along one axis.And what if we viewed it along a different axis?Like a well-known 1920 wide x 1040 tall x 483 frames film opener as 1920 wide x 483 tall x 1040 frames?

@gabrielesvelto When I was using a peripheral like this it was some third party brand attached to a Sparc. The purpose was to get lots of serial delivered Wall St feeds, the business wrote software to normalize APIs from different sources.But I am always up for a weird motherboard picture
