@Incal Yea, there is a real physical phenomena that happens with jet aircraft, when you burn a hydrocarbon you get two primary components, CO2 and H2O, or water, initially in vapor form. If humidity is high then that vapor immediately condenses into water droplets and the result is a contrail. As someone who has lived not far from Seatac, I've been seeing this since I was a child, I am 67 now. Anybody familiar with the Seattle area would know cloud seeding is not something we have a need of, we have an average rainfall of 37-38 inches, that is enough naturally. Further, if you are going to cloud seed, you're not going to waste material with random paths like the image you show. Lastly, to do it on a scale you suggest we'd need thousands of aircraft and billions of tonnes of material, there simply is no infrastructure on that scale. But some people want to believe in ghosts, some people want to fear being anally raped by aliens, if that's really what you need in your life, well then more power to you but no reason to inflict your irrationality on others.

We didn't do that, which suggests other motivations which I think can be spelled out with three letters, "oil".So my take the US didn't address is properly, efficiently, or in a way that would have minimized harm to civilians, the Europeans didn't address it at all, now being what it is, I don't know the solution but I suspect name calling isn't it.

@icedquinn @wyatt @winter Yes I do understand the pull of the rich on government, if you contribute to someone's election campaign or otherwise gift them and they are in a position of power, they feel obligated either in return for said gift or out of fear of losing support, to do that persons bidding.I don't consider this ethical, which is why I suggested if you want what they have, study how they got it, don't emulate the unethical behavior.That said, some elicit help from the government because they are building infrastructure we all use. SpaceX would be an example, it cost initially a lot to develop and now it's providing space access at a fraction of the cost at what NASA did. It's also providing internet in places it was previously unavailable. So when government investment in turn provides value, I see nothing wrong there.

I see nothing wrong in that.Don't get me wrong, I understand the frustration that some people use wealth unfairly. In 2020, when the Covid vax came out, I monitored VAERS and did not like a lot of what I was seeing, so I posted about this on Facebook, and I didn't tell anyone not to get the vax, I did say this is what I am seeing and it is of concern so i recommend being aware, know the risks and weigh them against the benefits. Facebook banned me.I could stew in resentment, but I chose to build my own platform, which today is this friendica site I am posting from https://friendica.eskimo.com, today 7200+ users, and part of the fediverse.We all face adversity and there will always be people who have more than what we have. The question is do we stew in resentment, or improve our own condition and perhaps that of others around us? I choose the latter, but whatever you choose know that you do have agency, you do have a choice.
