Hard to score it/him, especially after his vote against the OBBB and its "mass deportation" funding.I would say he should have considered making fewer enemies. For example Israel is a distraction (while Iran hasn't been for 47 years), while I don't like any politician who wants to put more pajeets (and Chinamen) on the path to paper citizenship.

@intrax I can see a case for that (really, a number of factors); I'm for now focused on the OBBB and if Massie's vote against it was prescient WRT to "mass deportation."The raw numbers of deportations are way down as of late (reporting is weird due to the "shutdown" I think, the latest we've got like early February to early April numbers, per Brave AI ~1,300/day. And putting an Oklahoman GOPe type in charge of ICE is a very bad sign.On the other hand, the OBBB set a lot of things in motion that take time to play out, especially with Lower Court Superiority Massive Resistance. More than doubling the number of front line ICE officers ... but only half a thousand could be put right into the line, retired types, the rest need lots of training.Ditto detention center beds, which is where the bulk of the money was directed, some forty billion. That's still very much in progress, with losses like "Alligator Alcatraz" (rumored to happen soon).Politically ... hard to say. He's become a liar in his old age, it would appear (he's old old, 82, born in 1944).Specifically, on page 216 of the paperback in the new neocon chapter, he talks about what sounds like excessive neocon arranged National Endowment for Democracy (civilian CIA) funding for a unit of the AFL-CIO labor union under Reagan (president starting in 1981).Besides various Jews, he names the usual suspects like Senator "Scoop" Jackson and Lane Kirkland (head of the union in that period) ... but not the Solidarity union in Poland founded in August 1980.Which was a major attack surface for ending the Evil Empire, see also Pope John Paul II, real name Karol Józef Wojtyła.
