@nickycolman I remember going into The Bridges one years back. Looks like there was one in Eldon Square as well but it’s closed down now. Coffee always tastes better in a good mug ☕️

I’ve bought a few genuine (unopened) Nike sport bands from past seasons on eBay recently as I’m finding those colours to be much more attractive than the current collection - gym red aside which I love

Does anyone else still use a pen and paper to plan their day/write their to-do list?It’s been 15+ years since I last used a to-do app and I sometimes wonder if it would be a better way to archive my lists, rather than misplacing or throwing bits of paper out. But there’s so many to choose from nowadays 🤯I see Things still comes out well in the best #productivity apps list. Anyone here use it or recommend another? I would prefer an upfront cost, don’t want to go subscription route.

Thanks everyone for the replies to this.I went for @things It comes highly recommended and is one of the lesser complicated apps of its kind I’ve used - beautiful UI too. I’ll still be using pen and paper, especially as I’m an on-the-phone doodler

@anders I tend to open Ivory and start from where I left off. I usually have under 100 to catch up with even if it’s been 24hrs since last opened (tho’ rare not to check for that long).I suppose if you follow a lot of chatty accounts and see several hundred toots ahead of you it will be far more daunting. I have this problem with Glass. I can go many many weeks without opening the app. Then I get anxiety about trying to catch up and so the avoidance process continues.

@anders when it was busier here some weeks ago during WWDC there were 200+ posts overnight, so I tapped to the top and read back over during breakfast. I think not seeing the number of unread toots sometimes takes away the catch-up anxiety.

@anders would creating a list of your more important accounts be helpful, so that you can check on those first? I haven’t done that here as I follow a manageable amount of people at the moment.

@anders some instances seem to have their own set of icons that users can add to their profile pic by copy and pasting a code beside their name. These are the ones available on my instance https://emojos.in/mastodon.social I'm not sure how you would go about adding emojis to use on your own instance.
