@cwebber my git stored org todo has 5,000 items on it. It gives a sense of freedom - only the top 5 ones matter at any time.Quite a few items are essentially memory tags and notes on hacks. But, yes, maybe I should start again. Because of git I can see how priorities shift over time...With some more thought: we are doomed in so many ways. The org-mode doom: rm todo.txtoh darn git reset --hard

@liw @mariusor I tend to be a late adopter generally (stuff that survives tends to be good - and zsh has been going for years), but I'll probably skip changing shells too and go straight for the guile/emacs desktop/terminal. Not enough benefit indeed. Maybe I would change if I were more of a system administrator.

@cwebber are you sure Crystal is more main stream than Racket?

@clacke @sir Since you support Nix it would be really cool to also support GNU Guix containers. I would be a taker and I know others. Also, where are these VMs running and who pays for them? There is no info on the website.

@sir @clacke It is interesting. Let me see on the GNU Guix mailing list who could be interested in helping out.

Today's decision #1: no more Python. Never liked it, never will.

@cwebber I'll add that for me Racket makes programming fun again. Going from Ruby to Python was painful. Now I feel liberated.

@cwebber have you looked at that nlnet fund I posted on GNU Guix? If you qualify that could be interesting. Only a few days left to submit.

We are using Racket on the backend, but now have to deal with JS. What is the recommended way? ClojureScript is one route, but my experience with that is that I don't like the engineering and the JVM requirement...
