As many people know, right now my main source of funding is the Samsung Stack Zero grant I got to fund my work on Spritely. (Thank you again to the Samsung Stack Zero team for having faith in me!)Some people have asked: what's your funding plan once that grant runs out? I don't have one other than the Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/cwebberI have a buffer, but I've been burning it for some time; it's not sustainable. I do know the work I'm doing now is the most important work I *can* be doing.

I might appear to be all over the place, but I'm laying down all the pieces. How do they fit together? - Spritely: the broad meta-project for fediverse-as-secure-virtual-worlds - Datashards (Spritely Magenc/Crystal): Privacy-preserving distributed storage primitives - Spritely Goblins: E-like actor model layer for secure distributed computation - OcapPub: the network-of-consent vision for a safer and more secure fediverse(cotd...)

       - Libre Lounge: co-hosting to explain these and other critical FOSS ideas - ActivityPub Conf: (yeah I'm not organizing it, mostly promoting it, though the main organizer @mlemweb shares income/expenses with me) trying to get implementors/community in one space to discuss ActivityPub's future - Bearcaps: kind of a side thing, and really very simple, but plain https Capability URLs are known to have problems so we need these(cotd with "what's next"...)

So what's next in 2020? Is Spritely on track? I think so, I need to add some stuff to Goblins/Goblinoid, and I need to add the (very minimal probably for the first round) Racket-module-containment-system of Spritely Dungeon, and then I have enough to start building the first fediverse-as-a-game public demos. I think I should be able to get the very most minimal public demo of these out in first quarter of 2020 but I'm not making promises. To me, that means I think I'm on track.

I will be building the first (non-networked, non-distributed) game using Goblinoid tomorrow at a little mini lisp game jam that I'll be attending along with @dthompson and @jakob tomorrow. Stay tuned for updates. And speaking of updates, I hope that's enough for now. All the best, everyone.

@cwebber have you looked at that nlnet fund I posted on GNU Guix? If you qualify that could be interesting. Only a few days left to submit.
