@martijnbraam Photo A must be looking towards E3-strand in the distance from the north with that industrial zone next to it on the right. It should have Eersel behind the E3-strand, but there's too much fog.

@martijnbraam It has a lot of roundabouts, so I would say that's France indeed. (You don't have that many of them on main roads in Belgium.)

Ugh, my Galaxy S9 just broke down on me. Looks like a display controller problem with the screen looking washed out and flickering at certain brightness settings.I guess I'm in for a new phone. π Are there any phones out there that still have a "decent" size, like an S9 or slightly smaller?

@linmob Didn't know that KDE became part of the gnome ecosystem. π€£I guess it's just a missing header. π

@InsignificantThoughts @Hanuwu Exactly. You'll end up with a system that you wouldn't be able to maintain. On the other hand I don't understand why they have added an installer while simultaneously removing some basic instructions from the install guide. Previously, the install guide had some suggestions for a default partition scheme, etc. Those things seem to go in opposite directions.

@RL_Dane Well, real suspend is simply not supported by any open source drivers on the PBP. Apparently it works with some "BSP" version of uboot with proprietary drivers, but I never got that working."Fake" suspend should work, but it hardly saves battery compared to leaving it on.

@fedops @RL_Dane That's right. The display is by far the most battery consuming thing in that machine.I'm running plain archlinuxarm which doesn't even have an electron package for aarch64. :p

@RL_Dane In certain aspects it is beta-y.Some of that stuff is intentional, though. E.g. none of the boot-up things are standardized for ARM like with x86 (BIOS, UEFI). That gives vendors the opportunity to deliver only proprietary boot mechanisms based on e.g. a forked outdated u-boot version. That gives them total control over people using those chips.Wrt electron in archlinuxarm. It's probably the most difficult and time consuming package to build (together with chromium)....@fedops

@RL_Dane ... Given the fact that archlinuxarm was still targeting armv5 and armv6 until recently, I can't blame them for not including that package. And by now, I think it's an advantage because I can't be tempted to install that stuff. :)In fact, Manjaro ARM are "cheating" with their electron package. They're not building it themselves, they're repackaging the aarch64 binary straight from the electron website. They probably also couldn't reproduce the aarch64 build.@fedops

@lowqualityfacts This actually makes sense in Dutch because pine cones are called "pine apples" in literal translation. π€£ (But pineapples are called "ananas").
