@lowqualityfacts I tried to roast a ham with sliced pine-apples, and now I'm banned from hosting Thanksgiving.

@lowqualityfacts Apparently, at one point in the history of the english language, all fruit type things were called apples. Hence pine apple and pomme to terre (apple of the earth to the French - we call it a potato now but the French are hard to change).Maybe this is a high quality fact and does not belong here.

@lowqualityfacts Also not to be confused with pie-napples, which are sweet but tangy napples that go great in pies.

@lowqualityfacts actually a medium-quality fact: pine cones are called “pomme de pin” in french, so a pine-apple.i am disappointed in the quality of this fact, and i demand only the lowest quality facts from this account – consider this your first warning, next time i will demand a refund.

@lowqualityfacts This actually makes sense in Dutch because pine cones are called "pine apples" in literal translation. 🤣 (But pineapples are called "ananas").

@lowqualityfacts likewise, pine-apples should not be confused with pine-cones which are wooden traffic cones.
