@martijnbraam If I would need to guess, I would say most of the other villages are probably in NL. There is way too little "lintbebouwing" to be Belgium. 😅

@martijnbraam Photo A must be looking towards E3-strand in the distance from the north with that industrial zone next to it on the right. It should have Eersel behind the E3-strand, but there's too much fog.

@mogwai looks like it's Knelsel in the forest, just not very visible due to the trees and the lighting. Even identified the farms in the field in the foreground :D

@martijnbraam If you hold your phone against the window for a couple minutes until you get a GPS fix (e.g. a GPS app gets a position), then take a picture, you'll get EXIF location data on your picture. I've done that and unsurprisingly, the photographed land was ~10km away from my position due to the slant angle.Without that, I've never been able to identify a photographed location.Position fixes in airplane mode are *very* slow because your phone can't download an ephemeris.

@martijnbraam You could look up your flight number to get the historical flight path, then use satellite photos to look at locations roughly 10km off the side of the flight track (on your side of the window). The timestamp on the photo might give you an idea how far along the track to look.Just ideas unless you are trying to limit things to just photo content matching with no other clues.

@martijnbraam It has a lot of roundabouts, so I would say that's France indeed. (You don't have that many of them on main roads in Belgium.)
