@ohgodpls @Ladyfat I thought is was a "kid thing", but yeah looking back, it was definitely more of a "boy thing" than a "kid thing"We fed the stray cat, the boys put him in a box and played catch with it.We tried to save the baby birds, the boys tried to hit the nests with balls.We saved the rolypolys and other creepy-crawlies stranded on the hot sidewalk, the boys put them in tin cans and set them in the sun to cook.The only "cruel" thing girls did was when we hit puberty and all started torturing and mutilating our Barbies. (There's a theory about a phase of rejecting the enforcement of femininity and damaging female dolls)

@dave I recently volunteered at a womens event and they tried to hand be one of the new funky flags where 👉TRANS👈 is the center of attention and somehow LatinX and Black are genders. I was like "NooOOooOOoo LOL."But then I have almost no survival skills and say almost anything that goes through my head unfiltered. I did leave out how I think the new flag is homophobic or that her instagram-trend eyebrows look like they were trying to escape from her face so I guess I have some filter.🤣 It's sounds scary in the UK, especially Scotland, but it seems like there are actually conversations happening instead of just treating it as a done deal.

We will be forced to carry a rotting dead body inside of us until we can prove that it is not viable.Our right to medical care that puts a fetus at risk will be truncated. We already have to endure unnecessary pregnancy tests before we can have an X-ray or CT. Women who refuse unnecessary medical intervention are already charged with child endangerment or murder for refusing a cesarean or for taking drugs (even prescription drugs) while pregnant.Girls raped by their male relatives will be forced to bear a high risk pregnancy before their bodies are ready.Those who need medical care will lose their savings, be forced to travel great distances, lose their jobs, have to take their children out of school because they can't afford childcare, just to access a safe simple procedure.I left Texas for a number of reasons, but chiefly among them was that if I became pregnant without realizing it I knew my body was no longer legally my property but that of a clump of cells. Even here in Colorado, I was forced to endure an medically unnecessary and invasive ultrasound, just to pay half my rent for two pills (and no pain medication). And I'm one of the lucky ones.The thing they refuse to acknowledge is that children will die.Mothers (including for wanted and planned pregnancies) will not have access to prenatal care either because it is harder to access or because they risk prison if something goes wrong.Children will be born to parents that never wanted them and we're not ready to be parents. This I believe is the main goal here: to produce children meant to be taken away to meet the high demand for infants for adoption.The goal is to kill women, body mind and soul. This is genocide.

I would add: 2b) campaign finance limits and ranked choice voting.3b) Ban on all elected and appointed federal employees from taking conflicting roles in an industry they regulated or made decisions on for 12 years.6) Strengthen separation of church and state. End religion exemption status for churches that exist solely or principally as tax evasion machines. End tax subsidies for religious organizations or entities (unless they separate out the charity side and don't discriminate).

I remember I made a post at the time that we should just use the word female because It refers to biological sex and therefore is inclusive of trans-men and GNC females but still acknowledges the biological and social reality for our lived experiences.Needless to say it was not received well and I was called a female incel and transphobic and the like. The TIF I was talking to did seem to question some things though so worth it.The arguments we should be targeting are ones like these in the middle, where people may have accidentally sipped the kool-aid but still have some common fucking sense left.

TLDR Rant: everything old is new again including sexismI feel like I have to perform femininity more now just to avoid people harassing me for not performing gender, as if I need to justify wearing comfortable clothes with pockets that fit my build.In TX i got to a place where I was comfortable with short hair, never wore makeup, just wore comfortable clothing. People might say "That's not appropriate for women, women shouldn't lift heavy things that's a mans work, etc." and I would tell them to go fuck themselves and find the biggest box I could manage and carry it while giving them death glares.Men would threaten to beat me up for talking about womens rights, gay rights, or racism. I would calculate the risk, but usually tell them to go fuck themselves and stand my ground.I grew up debating grown-ass men on womens rights (back when I was young and dumb and thought it was fun to debate human rights with oppressors). Now, I have male teachers telling me in the same breath how progressive they are and how feminists are ignorant and the reason we can't keep statistics on sex disparities is that there are 10^3859 genders (problem fucking solved I guess). I'm used to conservative Texans telling me I'm going to burn in hell for eternity (bisexual, athiest, socialist, take your pick). I'm used to men telling me what "a woman's place is." I'm used to hearing "God created woman to be a servant of man." and "women are naturally unfit to be leaders/scientists/military/etc." The gender movement is so fucking insidious. They are arguing for the same fucking things all over again while claiming that women are the backwards ones.I am sitting here thinking that I would like to go back to my buzzcut, and dreading the likely event that I'll be pulled aside and asked if I am a woman or not. I don't want to have to fight all the time, but I'm also the kind of person who won't let sexist/racist/homophobic shit slide.I'm fucking tired, and the semester hasn't even started yet.

@dave You've probably already heard of some/most of these as a lot of them are older, but here's some recommendations. Bear in mind your computer is a lot better than mine lol.Timberborn - beaver based (yes, the rodent) terraforming/city-builder sim where you manage seasonal flooding and resources. Still early release but I've had a lot of fun.Terra Nil - pixel teraformer. Looks promising but still only free demo, not even early release yet.Fortnite - when you want a FPS that is just an FPS. Fun, dumb, constantly updated and no mandatory micro-transactions what so ever.This War of Mine - side scroll RPG about civilians trying to survive trapped in a besieged city. A single playthrough last 1 -2hrs and there's permadeath unless you hit ctrl-alt-del fast enough.Firewatch - more of an interactive visual novel than a "game". Good plot., pretty AF, and good for a couple of hours (play in one sitting).Haven't played it yet myself but I've heard really good things about Stray.
