       @jmakesart Ah, so they're acting like being able to sense material reality is a religious belief instead of the truth. The truth is the opposite which is that one requires a religious belief to deny what their eyes and ears tell them, a religious belief that enables feeling morally superior while working to detach a word from a community meaning and a religious faith that technology via synthetic chemicals and surgeries (which have been proven to have unhealthy side effects) are somehow not going to contribute to a negative quality of life but instead some sort of pure positive feeling of self actualization.So the joke could be that people who do this are stupid. The joke could be that it's absurd to treat observable material reality as a religion. The joke could be strengthening a community group value ie: we know that they know that we know but we won't ever say we don't know because we're that cool. The joke could be that parents and community require performance while people don't enjoy it.And because it's online you don't have actions to measure any of these conflicting opinions against what is truely valued. Which is a way of getting attention and that might be what some of the posters are after.  Children playing isn't the same as medical abuse. Anyways, plenty of people are only genderists at work or for profit so joke's on them.
