       TLDR Rant: everything old is new again including sexismI feel like I have to perform femininity more now just to avoid people harassing me for not performing gender, as if I need to justify wearing comfortable clothes with pockets that fit my build.In TX i got to a place where I was comfortable with short hair, never wore makeup, just wore comfortable clothing. People might say "That's not appropriate for women, women shouldn't lift heavy things that's a mans work, etc." and I would tell them to go fuck themselves and find the biggest box I could manage and carry it while giving them death glares.Men would threaten to beat me up for talking about womens rights, gay rights, or racism. I would calculate the risk, but usually tell them to go fuck themselves and stand my ground.I grew up debating grown-ass men on womens rights (back when I was young and dumb and thought it was fun to debate human rights with oppressors). Now, I have male teachers telling me in the same breath how progressive they are and how feminists are ignorant and the reason we can't keep statistics on sex disparities is that there are 10^3859 genders (problem fucking solved I guess). I'm used to conservative Texans telling me I'm going to burn in hell for eternity (bisexual, athiest, socialist, take your pick). I'm used to men telling me what "a woman's place is." I'm used to hearing "God created woman to be a servant of man." and "women are naturally unfit to be leaders/scientists/military/etc." The gender movement is so fucking insidious. They are arguing for the same fucking things all over again while claiming that women are the backwards ones.I am sitting here thinking that I would like to go back to my buzzcut, and dreading the likely event that I'll be pulled aside and asked if I am a woman or not. I don't want to have to fight all the time, but I'm also the kind of person who won't let sexist/racist/homophobic shit slide.I'm fucking tired, and the semester hasn't even started yet.

       @greenpunk If you think that's bad you should try being a  w♀️man of color that does this. With us, they take it a stretch further. Apparently it is REQUIRED wearing of fake weaves, painted face to paint the "ugly indigenous features away" and looking like the ugly ass drag queen instead UNLESS YOU MUST BE A LESBIANTHEY DONT EVEN FUCKING ASK.
