How do you install latest packages in #Debian or #LMDE ? For example, 2.10.20 of GIMP or latest LibreOffice ? You can't add repos/ppas in LMDE right?#FOSS #linux

@redstarfish I think, No. We can't add ppas in LMDE / Debian. If the distro is ubuntu-derivative, then yes.

@t0ta1packg3 Debian stable packages are old. Thanks to @jbauer for mentioning about Debian Buster Backports. I'm able to get the latest packages from there.

@tomosaigon I second this. I follow a lot of people who toots in multiple languages, which I couldn't understand. Seeing those toots is quite frustrating in the timeline without translation feature.
