@PG_Kelly And the data Webb is sending back doesn't fit The Big Bang Theory. And people are saying we aren't wrong, our theory is still right. A theory is not a fact and the word theory is right there in the name Big Bang Theory. If you want people to "trust the science" admit your theory needs adjustment and do it. Yeah, there's "something fishy" in your understanding of the universe, you don't understand it.

Had lunch with my MIL yesterday. She asked if I had gotten the vax yet. And, I said no that I'd had COVID and wouldn't be getting it. She looks at my husband and says "you're up to date." He said, I had three. She said, "Well then you're unvaxxed too." Then she says she won't be able to see us again because we are too dangerous to her health. Pre Covid, she saw my daughter once a month. Since Covid, less than 5 times total. Their relationship is damaged. #noforgiveness

My husband also pointed out that we would never get our daughter vaccinated so, even if we got vaccinated, nothing changes. In the car, my 10yo says "doesn't she know the vaccine doesn't prevent transmission. It possibly makes you less sick." My husband says some people don't want to hear that. Unfortunately, your grandmother is one of them. We are her only family. So, she'll spend Thanksgiving and Christmas alone.

That's what my parents said in Spring of 2020. They were adament about spending the holidays with their family. They are healthier than most of their friends now because they exposed themselves to germs. My parents aren't vaxxed. My Mom has lost friends and been shunned over this issue. The hardest one is her best friend who stopped talking to her. It took Mom 2 yrs to stop reaching out. This experience taught me one thing, fear is the most powerful emotion. Courage is in short supply.

@isaac It makes sense when you remember the media is a propoganda arm of the Democratic Party. Much of the country still gets their news from morning shows or CNN website. Republicans will still win the house and probably the Senate. So, Biden no longer has a rubber stamp. That's good enough for me this morning. If Dems were rigging the elections, I'm pretty sure they'd rig enough to win.

@jessecoynelson This is really bad for the country as a whole ignoring future policy implications. If you look at the numbers more people voted Republican in house races. Just not in the districts (on the coasts) which mattered. I'm not a vote fraud person. I live in a v. liberal area. They are true believers and turn out. This is what the founders worried about, small sections of the country ruling the majority due to population and money. It is going to lead to unrest.

@jessecoynelson They may not be that different but we don't want to lose them. I'm sure S. Korea has income tax so you still pay taxes. Income is more offensive to me. I don't mind paying local property taxes and having upkeep of my roads, etc. We have real estate tax and car tax. The whole total was $3.5K. Income tax to the federal government to pay for the IRS, EPA, a war in Ukraine I don't believe in, just makes me mad.

@jessecoynelsonI don't want to leave. It is my country, I love it, and I want to fight for it. There isn't a country more aligned with my values. I'm losing my country to the crazy people I lvie amongst. Who have a "Hate doesn't live here" flag in their yard while living in a homgenous neighborhood of upper-middle class whites who think the same and vote the same.

@jessecoynelson yeah, I was pretty much team the Republicans did a crappy job. Every day this drags on, I lose more faith in our election system. Don't talk about election denialism. Clean up the process or live with the consequences which is half the population thinking you cheated. We'd call BS in a third world country.
