Far fewer women in the UK die from murder or gun deaths than women and children in the U.S. If guns were an equalizer for women, why are we still dying from them in the U.S.?

@Clariana @AnungIkwe I would say there is a LOT of attention placed on abortion issues in the US in the US media - it's on every station/newspaper/online news etc. I think non-US feminists and conservatives in the US are more focused on the Loudoun case. Abortion rights for women are the #1 discussion of all my women friend groups right now.

Something about how this mother talks of believing her 4 yr old son's pronouncements is really off. I'm a mom...kids say loads of crzy stuff from believing they are aliens to pretending to talk to ghosts...we don't believe them, we understand that they mess things up as they are still growing. Plus, the parents are clearly regressive in thinking that a boy who likes to play with dolls must then BE a girl in his head. Eye roll if it weren't so dangerous for him. The crux of this video is that the mom feels her child was outed as a boy when they were trying to socialize him as a girl...so, think about this. The parents were LYING to everyone about their son's sex. Under age 7 or 8, this isn't as big an issue, but as kids start hitting puberty, this is a massive red flag and somehow the parents seemed Aokay with LYING about it. Little kids stare - they can't help it and under a certain age there's no way you can teach them not to. There's a world of adults who do shitty things who do know better. Save your energy for them.

@ninapaley I'd respond differently depending on the employee's age - young people are far more likely to have been groomed into this and if we treat them kindly like you did, without giving into the pronoun game, that is a battle for normalcy and young people need guidance in this crazy gender time.
