       Something about how this mother talks of believing her 4 yr old son's pronouncements is really off. I'm a mom...kids say loads of crzy stuff from believing they are aliens to pretending to talk to ghosts...we don't believe them, we understand that they mess things up as they are still growing. Plus, the parents are clearly regressive in thinking that a boy who likes to play with dolls must then BE a girl in his head. Eye roll if it weren't so dangerous for him. The crux of this video is that the mom feels her child was outed as a boy when they were trying to socialize him as a girl...so, think about this. The parents were LYING to everyone about their son's sex. Under age 7 or 8, this isn't as big an issue, but as kids start hitting puberty, this is a massive red flag and somehow the parents seemed Aokay with LYING about it.        @Peony20 I can see what happened here.  The kid was aware of the Mom's belief in gender identity, as emphasized by her bizarre question, "Still my little BOY, right?" as though it were an actual thing that could be altered (as emphasized again by her taking his answer very seriously and calling her husband in Japan).  He decided it would be fun, or pleasing to Mom, to play along.Something similar happened at the outskirts of my social group, sadly, which is one reason I can recognize it.It's insane parenting from a woman who either has serious issues or has simply been brainwashed into thinking it is her job to look for a special gender identity in her child.  I don't know how anyone with a child cannot recognize pretend play.  I've been told to call children Eskimos, ghosts, cats, crime scene investigators, and many other things.Her most precious secret, too?  Is she serious?  Again, insane.All that said, it would be nice to keep this issue separate from the political debate over masking.  I don't like it when politicians' minor children are dragged into disputes, by the politicians, themselves or by their opponents.  The parents could have joined together to make single-sex restrooms an issue, without mentioning this particular child in a conversation about a different topic.
