I don’t much like most politicians myself, but the foul hatred each tribe has the other is gross. I remember the things said about Trump and his wife, more recently, about Desantis’s wife. That's one of the main points Luv Green Tea was making, she doesn't trust second hand information or the media in general.I do think it's valid to point out AOC's silence about the very public threats of violence by TRAs against feminists and the direct violence against women that results from policies AOC supports. No one here said the threats against her were okay because of her anti woman politics. However it's valid to point out the hypocrisy, and to be reluctant to cry out in her defense when she's essentially a politcal aggressor who depicts herself as a champion of the underdog. She already has leagues of supporters defending her, and one of the most powerful political bodies in the US is comong to her defense. Not so the women locked up with rapists.A few weeks ago I posted a comment arguing that Judith Butler shouldn't be targetted with misogyny. We all have a right to despise her and hold her responsible for what she does wrong, but her wrongs don't make it okay to respond with misogyny. If Judith Butler were threatened with violence, I suspect you'd be more reluctant to respond with the same passionate outrage. Perhaps you would if she were young and beautiful? Not saying you necessarily would, just asking. Posts on this thread were responding in part imo to your passionate outrage on AOC's behalf - not to your objection to the threats which we all agree are wrong and should be opposed.
