@StevenDouglas My experience as well. I’m still surprised when I become aware of some behavior or thought pattern that I then choose to unlearn. Very powerful, life changing. Takes courage and humility to improve.

@StevenDouglas Am contemplating what you wrote. Opened a new awareness for me. I’ve learned to step back and take a spacious view therefor not reacting. It’s like an opera singer learning to control a powerful beautiful voice to reach new heights. I used to swim laps. I love being in the water, the rhythm, the breathing. It’s like a crawling meditation. It gave me joy, strength and perseverance. A spacious view swimming in my own lane.

@StevenDouglas @2020_DJT @Rooibos @dianalward I have a practice called ‘Take in the Good’. Essentially whenever I feel happy/good I stop and take it in for 20-30 sec. good cup of coffee, sunrise, accomplished a task, etc. Try it. If you’re used to rushing through life 20-30 sec can seem like a very long time. Taking In The Good helped me through a challenging time in my life. I made the choice and never looked back.

@IHaveAFewQuestions This code held my father together when he was a teenager. His mother died when he was 12 and his father left. His younger brother was sent to NY to live with relatives. My dad was taken in by a family who had a ranch outside town. He lived and worked on the ranch through high school. Dad told me that through the 30s Gene Autrys cowboy code (through his radio programs) became his own. It became his compass during those difficult years. It taught him how to be a man.

@FrenchPhilosophicalAnalyst Now they require a palm vein capture to take many exams. It’s used for identification like fingerprints but who can alter palm veins?Most people who take exams for licenses, credentials, etc. have to have their right and left palm veins scanned to take the exam.

@joebennett @Sabina I understand. I didn’t say that I liked Buffet just that he had a big following in certain parts of the sailing community. In some of his songs he does capture the spirit of the lifestyle.He also had/has a big following of people who wanted the life he portrayed in his songs but never sailed. They flocked to his concerts, dressed up, drank, & had a good time. Parrotheads. I finally got to the Keys a few years ago and was able to imagine what it used to be like. Sad.
