@picnoir I meant the idle power comsumption. 10W sounds more reasonable depending on the display brightness.Perhaps it's because I didn't mention you? If you got one now, that's likely it.

@protonprivacy And the source code too, thanks a bunch!Is there a reason why issues are disabled on the repo?Even if you guys don't plan to use them, it'd still be a useful forum for users to track issues workarounds and fixes. While we're on the topic, could you re-enable issues on the old repo for posterity's sake? The repo is archived anyways, so there won't be any further activity as issues automatically become read-only.

Habe grade #2FA bei meinem #DB login deaktiviert, weil mich die bahn.de Website gefühlt alle Stunde oder so ausloggt. Es. Nervt.Das ist mein Bahn-Account, nicht mein Bank-Account. Die kritischste Information, die hier hinterlegt ist, sind meine favorisierten Haltestellen.Was soll dieses #SecurityTheatre?Es sorgt nur dafür, dass Nutzer Sicherheitsfeatures deaktivieren, die bei ordentlichem Einsatz ansonsten sehr sinnvoll wären.Mein Passwort kommt jetzt nämlich auch unverschlüsselt in den Browser-internen Passwortmanager; ich will nicht jedes mal mein ewig langes Master-Passwort in den Passwort-Manager eingeben müssen, wenn ich die Bahn website bedienen möchte.Aber selbst das hilft nicht viel, da jeder Login-Versuch hinter einem Captcha ist. (What?)Oh und das Input-Feld mit dem Nutzernamen (Vorgelagerter Screen, why?) ist nicht als solches getaggt und der PW-manager befüllt es nicht automatisch. Auch immer wieder wundervoll.

So the one time a year that I need to 2D-print something came.Aaaaand #cups fscked up the printer config somehow and the #firefox printing dialog would just ...hang.WTF.No error, just hang. Okay, let's Google it-NOPE search results for that failure mode are utterly useless and did not help in any way shape or form. Thank you Google monopoly for stifling any sort of improvement in this space for the past decade.It actually fscked up the #firefox process in some deep way because some extensions would no longer function in new tabs and I couldn't even stop it properly. I had to manually go and stop firefox's ad-hoc systemd service (I launch apps via systemd-run).Upon starting it again, the tabs that were opened or modified since attempting to print were reproducibly gone (I restarted it a few times).WTF.I then turned to the arch wiki because surely it contains useful info on how to use all of the historical garbage CLI that dates back to UNIX to do something about this, right?Nope, total joke of a wiki article that doesn't explain how to use any of this. Why even have the page if you're just going to list commands? I can already look at the binaries that the package provides, TYVM.The examples that don't fscking explain what they even do aren't in any way helpful either.WTF.The CUPS man pages weren't any more helpful either. You're telling me I can clear a queue using cupsreject by passing a "destination"?Are you going to explain to me in any way what such a "destination" is?Nope.Are you going to link to anywhere that does?Nope.It did list something that piqued my interest because it looked like a packaging bug: A link to http://localhost:631/.So apparently cups has a web server running on my device the entire time where you can administer the cupsd.WTF.Okay, fine let's use this thing to turn it off and on again I thought and went to delete the printers.Smash the state.It took *HALF A FUCKING MINUTE EACH*. What was it doing during that time? Fuckall as far as I could tell; no logs or resource usage that I was able to discern.WTF.It's not even the printer that's bad here, it's everything else.The printer itself worked perfectly. That's perhaps the most surprising of all but it's the #brother printer everyone has, so of course it works.
