       @izaya bog standard consumer NASs are quite a different form factor, and also come with an easy to set up OS that defaults to a sensible RAID configuration

       @izaya I think mostly it's just about having a whole bunch of easy to grab hard drives VS having to open a chassis.

       @izaya like, my moms business doesn’t need a rackmount NAS for 5 or so computers, they need the cheapest Buffalo 2-bay i could find that does RAID-1 and SMB shares
