       #introductionI’m a #polymath who gets her kicks learning and doing new things. I started in corporate finance, then went freelance as a #writer, #author of #tech #books, articles, and #video training material. Along the way, I learned to fly #helicopters and bought one. I launched my own helicopter charter business and a popular #YouTube channel of #flying videos. Now I’m mostly #retired, a #jewelry #artist and #boat #captain, #RVing and #boating with my pups when I’m away from home.

       @abucci @davidgerard Agreed. I'm a silversmith; it's one of my retirement gigs. Had to stop buying and making silver jewelry because of silver market volatility. I'm going to work on selling off existing inventory and doing more with copper until things settle down again.But yeah, I think someone's playing with the market. It's a lot easier to manipulate silver prices than gold; a much smaller investment is required.

       @EUCommission This is not something to brag about.🙄 There is nothing positive about AI as far as civilization is concerned. It is not improving anything. It is incredibly wasteful. It is harming the people who use it and the people whose jobs are lost because of it. To brag about your "huge strides"in building an AI society shows how little you actually know about it.

       @ariadne @TimChaffee @sundogplanets It's not just Starlink.I've been camping in dark places  — heck, I even lived in a super dark place for a while — for most of my life. I remember seeing satellites as long as 20 years ago or more.
