       @quad I almost went for an older model of HPE Microserver (the cube-shaped ones) when I was looking for a new server a couple of years ago, but it was out of my budget at the time.        @quad My (limited) understanding is the difference between SAS and SATA is mostly just protocol/signalling. I wouldn't be surprised if that exact backplane is also used on another product with SAS support.The backplane on my server (Silverstone CS380) supports both interchangeably, and for each bay the backplane has 2 ports labelled SATA and SAS, but only the SATA port needs to be connected, even for SAS usage, since that's the primary channel. The SAS port is the secondary channel for SAS 12G.

       @quad Try Navidrome, it's dead simple to setup and 100% worth it. Jellyfin is OK for music, but Navidrome is made *specifically* for music.It re-scans your library in real time whenever a file is added/updated, keeps track of files that have been deleted/replaced, and deals with metadata much better than Jellyfin in my experience.

       @quad There are a lot more options than for Jellyfin as far as I can tell, and I haven't tried them all, but I ultimately settled on Symfonium, which is paid (I know) but by far the most complete and polished.        @selea Ah, then my suggestion doesn't apply. I had similar problems, but my NICs are Realtek. It was resolved by installing the alternative driver package.
