@Jes even still, kinda considering getting one of logitechs cheaper headsets (rn inbetween the 325 and 321) because they look small, unassuming, and sturdy, none of which apply to my current headphones which sound like they’re on the verge of snapping into a million pieces every time i take them off or move my head too fast (and were like triple the price of the logitechs)

@Jes at least the connection to the earcup looks sturdier, mine have only one connection to the headband and it’s through a thin piece of plastic that attaches to *the side* of the earcup rather than down the center (mine aren’t this colorway and just a plain black but this was the best perspective photo i could quickly find)

@Jes no, don’t.. the earcups have so much play in them after a few months of use. like they twist in nearly every direction about maybe a degree or two and creak and crunch constantly and also the “ski headband” wears out SUPER QUICKLY and i need to replace the band (which is easy, to their credit) like nearly monthly (at least they’re only like 10-15 bucks tho.. although that’s kinda lipstick on a pig

@Jes is worth noting, the nova 5 and 3 have two points of contact with the earcups unlike the 7 don’t know if they support wired audio tho

@Jes i have a extremely specific use case for that, the audio output on my steam deck seems to vary wildly in volume so having onboard volume adjustment is super helpful so i can not delete my eardrums or have completely inaudible sounds oh and in case your wondering why don’t i just use the volume buttons on my deck? the audio is nearly unusably quiet below halfway up the bar and then it jumps way up in volume and is consistent from there upwards so i can’t just press volume down because even once causes it to get ~60% quieter i love valves QC :blobfoxheartcute:

@Jes oh and also it seems like the aux jack isn’t grounded properly as there’s a constant hissing noise that gets worse the more you stress the APU so that’s out of the picture too and for whichever reason the bluetooth *sucks* and has at least 1/10th a second of latency

@Jes see, that’s the thing, the audio jacks on my other stuff like my switch 2, and lenovo laptop works perfectly.. the deck is honestly the first computer i’ve owned that i actually had anything to complain about for the audio jack

@Jes honestly just used a 2 dollar usbc to 3.5 adapter i found on amazon, works fine when im not using my headphones with the wireless wired adapter thingy (i have a second pair of headphones that i don’t use much because their ear cups are super shallow and they’re barely over ears)

@Jes the 270s are far closer to harman meanwhile the 770s (and 880s and 990s) have a reputation for being quite harsh and shrill sounding apparently so it’s like, i get a better sound signature, swappable cables, headbands and cushions and lighter and smaller for 100 bucks less? i’d be a moron not to also the cushions look sooo sooofttt, i want a bedsheet made of that material

@Jes i wasn’t like, offended by the possibility of them having a modded switch, i don’t really care, i just thought it was funny that their mockup was either based off a modded console or wildly inaccurate to the real thing
