       I can't really explain why I think the Democrat Party has jumped the shark without going full LONG FORM, @chris ...... so here is a short, incomplete version:Politics has always involved LYING but, traditionally, it has been a "CLEVER LIE". Word art. Enough ambiguity to allow the listener to hear what they wanted and, if pinned down by the opposition, wiggle room for the politician to get out it. Politicians are skillful at this.

       @Dan_Ramos in recent years, Colorado has had a number of Democrat STATE legislators who were long-time incumbents...... who ran for re-election and retired immediately after winning. In this state, the PARTY gets to appoint the replacement. They are usually even MORE LEFT... and totally unelected.
