       I can't really explain why I think the Democrat Party has jumped the shark without going full LONG FORM, @chris ...... so here is a short, incomplete version:Politics has always involved LYING but, traditionally, it has been a "CLEVER LIE". Word art. Enough ambiguity to allow the listener to hear what they wanted and, if pinned down by the opposition, wiggle room for the politician to get out it. Politicians are skillful at this.
