Unprompted, my last two days have been some of the most physically demanding days I've had in recent memory.Yesterday I pushed a ~80-90lb stroller 1.5 miles up Mt. Lebanon, then kept it from sending my children to their deaths the same distance down. Some of it cobblestone roads.Today I edged ~8/10ths a mile of driveway in prep for a sealcoat. Had to be done soon b/c rain, so I did a half Mexican day (6hrs) of near continuous string trimming.I cannot feel my limbs.I got Chinese food.

inb4: “exercise more”I don’t “work out” because that’s for single losers, queers, people still zonked by the 80s era beefcake sociological impotent cry for help, people with too much free time, and people who don’t have any routine physical hardship during their normal day (i.e., office workers who drive to work).Instead I face unscheduled physical tribulations, overcome them, then get Chinese food.Pretty sure I know which of us has it better 😏

@eriner I have never understood people "going to the gym." As you stated, if you have stuff to do, whatever that is, you should be getting fitter than the gym.

Nobody asked, but yes, I do string trimming in flip-flops (and shorts). It is a matter of technique and pain tolerance.
