       @pixelfed Asked before and will now start asking consistently.Day 1: Is Pixelfed going to provide an updated website experience equal to the mobile app experience? Or will Pixelfed follow Instagram and try to indirectly push users to use the mobile app by making the website experience sub-par when compared to the mobile app?

       @ddnnacheta We are building a brand new webUI experience, with full PWA support and web push notifications, so users won't even need to use an app!Both will release around the same time, contributors will get early access to the mobile app beta before the mobile apps are released (but they can use the new webUI, it will ship first officially).

       @ddnnacheta And for the record, we are not Instagram or those other platforms that would restrict access to mobile apps.We have no incentive to, and embrace 3rd party developers by giving them access to the same APIs the official app uses, in addition to focusing on the new front end redesign PWA release first.It's going to be massive, and long overdue.

       @pixelfed Good, because I don't want to use a social media app on a spyware OS. Which is one of the main reasons why I use Linux.Glad to know my private account (not this one) can be used with an updated experience in the future.
