       I've never seriously watched Stargate, I just absorb SG-1 by osmosis sometimes while waiting for Star Trek to come on. The world of Stargate seems so militaristic and miserable, lol.

       @druid Militaristic, yes. Miserable? I wanna say it's more philosophical. I enjoyed it as a kid. I don't remember being struck by the darker stuff. Was more focused on the commentary of our military interacting with aliens in a diplomatic setting.If it'd been more invasion flavored, I don't think I'd have enjoyed it.
