       @fribbledom i dont know if you use the old reddit redirect firefox extension but it includes some kind of workaround for that now so no long required still

I used old reddit all the time the "log in!" or "age verification" poped out, thinking to myself: "They have completely forgotten about old.reddit.com, let's hope they don't remember..."Fuck them, I have not logged in since the API fiasco years ago, and I refuse to do it now! 😡

       @fribbledom @silmathoron Last week I stopped using Reddit at all. For the last 6months or so I used the Narwhal app to access it on my phone. I stopped for “information diet” reasons, but they are accelerating the enshittification so I doubt I will go back. I want to lurk and that shouldn’t require a log in.

       @fribbledom Google said it detected fraudulent activity from my IP and needed to make sure I was me to watch a video so I needed to perform a captcha.Normally I'd have just done the fucking captcha with no reason even given, but that reason made me decide not to.
