       @stux I remember seeing a news report about amusement ride years ago, saying there was no specific training or certification for designers af amusement rides. I have always kept that in mind while at the fairgrounds.

       @stux Depending on where it's located, there may be exceedingly lax business regulations. In my neighbor state, Kansas, a kid died on a water slide several years ago, in part because of severely lacking regulation. If he hadn't been the child of a state official, nothing would have been done about it.

       @stuxDon't take this as a defense of the coaster but the ride was shut down as soon as the 2 people were realized. It's possible this may be the end of the ride but the investigation is important and it may reveal things that change this story. There are often accidents that happen on roller coasters because of preexisting conditions which seemed to play a part in at least some of the earlier deaths.
