       AI-generated ads are starting to show up in the Sunday newspaper, and they look absolutely terrible in print. AI's default of a black background and low contrast not only wastes a tremendous amount of ink, it is also almost completely illegible, especially on newsprint. Compare that to the traditional high-contrast, white background ad next to it, optimized for readability.

       @vwestlife I'm gonna say I think you're off-base here. These look like pretty typical newspaper ads. The left is a very traditional print style, and the right is just what happens when a fresh-out-of-college graphic designer doesn't understand the concept of bleed. It has actual photos of the place, though, and very little else of that ad is "deisgned." It's just sans-serif fonts and two logos.Bet it looks good on the screen, though.

       @vwestlife I agree! On the left ad, it’s so easy to understand what the company’s offering & *why*. On the right ad, even if we give this disorienting design a pass here, the content itself is so redundant and vague that it reflects a lack of forethought that only AI (or somebody rushing) could produce IMO.
