       @mcc wait, if for bluesky it's 100M/3y (i.e. $33M/year), and for mastodon it's 775k€/year, doesn't this make bluesky roughly 35x as expensive, not 15x? (But also, if tomorrow bluesky the company loses all money, bluesky the social network will basically cease to exist; it _is_ what one year of bluesky life costs. On the other hand if tomorrow mastodon the company loses all money, then I guess 20% (or how many are there on m.s. now?) of fediverse users will have to find new hombres and migrate there, and also mastodon the software will be getting updates less often, but fediverse will continue to exist in mostly unchanged shape.)
