       Has there been a recent change to X that disallows watching (and hearing) videos in a browser without logging in? When trying to watch from links here in mastodon, I keep getting prompts to install the app, whereas I've watched many videos in the past.

       @Derdnik Yep.  You can change any x.com URL to xcancel.com to watch the video.If you get tired of doing that manually, I have been happy with this redirector, which does it automatically:https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/redirector/
