       @gardiner_bryant @zahntron As a Mac user this was a fascinating read. Obviously the fact that I decided to come onto mastodon aligns me somewhat already with your point of view LOL. It will be interesting to see how these tools develop, especially as all the other proprietary software continues to relentlessly enshittify.

       @gardiner_bryant @zahntronI’ve been banging my head against Affinity, which has had a huge amount of community work done on it by volunteers, but I still can’t get running.I need video editing, but I do it infrequently enough that I kinda wind up relearning Final Cut each time anyway.But I can’t make books in Linux, and that’s a nonstarter.And man, do I want it to start.
