       @bascule when I went to the Arctic with @Elizafox basically everything was melted.  this was the Canadian Arctic but I can't imagine the Russian Arctic is much different.

       @ariadne @Elizafox I went to Alta in Norway at a time when Greenland was warmer than a host of cities including New York and London in the middle of winter.People  who lived there kept talking about climate change and how much it was disrupting the winter activities there: Several days were over freezing, which doesn’t bode well for things like ice castles
