Spain's grid still has a lot of problems, of course. They need more investment in BESS to transform curtailment and negative wholesale prices into a replacement for some of that gas balancing.They have early adopter syndrome in that much of their generation lacks grid-forming power electronics. Too much, it seems. @ariadne @Elizafox I went to Alta in Norway at a time when Greenland was warmer than a host of cities including New York and London in the middle of winter.People who lived there kept talking about climate change and how much it was disrupting the winter activities there: Several days were over freezing, which doesn’t bode well for things like ice castles

I’d like to see polling which inverts the “do you support open borders snd international freedom of movement” as “do you support closing borders and restricting international freedom of movement” and see how many people oppose that too.I expect most people support open borders with caveats/exceptions and some access control. There is a happy medium. But Republicans in the US have made “open borders” (and even “asylum”) into bad words, and centrist/conservative Democrats are joining them.#uspol
