@mntmn I sometimes envy those who had access to such cool hardware back in the day. My family eventually got a PC but I wasn't allowed to do much more than write stories on it using wordperfect. I only really learned about computers once a neighbor lent me a laptop running DOS with a C compiler on a 3.5" floppy disk. He was nice but actually wrote missile firmware for the military... so in hindsight it was also weird to have started this way. Hopefully I can do good to counter some of the bad.

@cararemixed aw, yeah i'm grateful that i got access to zx81, spectrum, c64/128, a500/1200 growing up, even if those were already outdated

@mntmn There's something wonderful about machines with such limits. They still seem to have so much power even if we look and laugh at the specs now.

@mntmn Looks like it won't actually run m68k machine code without disassembly and reassembly https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ColdFire so I'm not sure if this really counts as a retro-replica machine.

@mntmn so cool, definitely has 'it' factor! sometimes i *feel* like trying to follow main compute and web trends is misdirected or/and lost cause. and perhaps two-three generational steps back with hw and more minimalistic, functional approach to the web (rss ftw!) might give better results; an alternative.
