@ariadne I have slides that keep me on track. And new material I test on a couple of colleagues beforehand - you only know if it makes sense and flows well once you hear yourself.But I always extemporize the actual words. With recurring lectures I sometimes hear myself saying something unexpected and good, and end up incorporating it into the slide deck. Or I find myself skipping things and remove it afterwards.

@ariadne I have done the former because I was leading a training session for a customer that didn't really know what they wanted beyond "yes". I generally prefer planning things out.

@ariadne both at once: I spend days planning everything, but all in my head, nothing written down. Then I quickly do the slides in the bus on my way to uni.
