       @briankrebs @campuscodi real question is where the data actually goes. If it's just within the box beeping at you to wake you up before you kill someone then rather less of a deal.Most of this is not on micro mobility because as I understand it a quad bike is conveniently exempt, and allowed around town in many EU and UK just not on motorways. Also they tend to be built to a price point where there's no spying kit not even an entertainment system just a phone holder

       @etchedpixels @briankrebs @campuscodi Sure, but here's something to consider: the companies making the cars have financial incentive to harvest and sell the data, and realistically they would absolutely get away with it. So you tell me what's likely to happen.

       @mossyfoot @briankrebs @campuscodi I’ve been wondering how Slate will deal with the requirement. I hope omitting a modem and internet connectivity from vehicles is sufficient. My vehicle doesn’t have internet, an infotainment system, touchscreen, inside cameras, etc. I want none of that stuff.

       Ugh. Another reason I want to keep my older car on the road. Luckily, I don't have to drive a lot, but I do need a car where I live (no public transportation, bike unfriendly roads). TY for posting this, @briankrebs !@campuscodi
