       @copygirlIf I received such an issue, I'd feel overwhelmed.Though I don't know what their issue reporting guidelines say, maybe they imply this is the correct way.

       @copygirlAlso, I think the maintainer's feedback was ambiguous here.I think what they really wanted is for your "describe a solution you'd like" to be "have a flag that a player can set to inform others they don't want to be recorded, and a way for people recording to filter out sessions whose participants don't want to be recorded"

       @wolf480pl Did you see my response further down? The flag you mentioned alone would be insufficient to get the desired outcome.I also previously had the exact point you mentioned of “have the session advertise whether users are in it that don’t consent to recording” because I felt like that’s actually not the kind of information you’d want to be available. Similar to the problem of advertising whether a user is currently recording in a session. But I think the former is potentially more harmful to vulnerable users.
