       I can't prove this or anything but it really seems like there's one crow whose job it is to stand on the lamp post and yell, get me to come out, and then keep yelling about how the peanut lady has appeared. Two different crows came to get nuts, and the lamp post yeller didn't ever come down to get one. Also, I now have two blue jays who recognize my crow whistle. #crows #birds #birbs

       @hollie I've got one of those crows too! It sits on the fence or telephone pole and makes "ahem" noises til I go out with peanuts.Then it calls the murder. I think it's a smol family that lives around here, last year there were two babies. And it's so fun watching the dynamics of who is allowed first choice of peanuts.

       @MsHearthWitch Yes, there is very much an "ahem!" caw! It's so funny! They're training me well. That's so sweet you've seen babies! I don't think we have any yet? There was a somewhat smaller crow this morning, but it was doing the hollering so I THINK it's probably just a smaller adult? It it's a bebe, it's VERY precocious.

       @hollie @MsHearthWitch Yesterday I met two grown juveniles of my raven pair (although there might be three—or a cousin—because I heard one farther off). They shrieked for walnuts, not yet knowing my ask-nicely understanding with their parents, so NO WALNUTS FOR THEM. Then one tired but proud and patient parent came and asked nicely, so WALNUTS FOR EVERYONE. I said admiringly to the parent, “Beautiful children. Loud, though. You must be exhausted!”
