       All corruption, all the time in Trump world, Exhibit 56,440: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/03/us/politics/trump-pardon-clean-air-act.html?unlocked_article_code=1.vFA.cfa8.vKWDkWI5UCIm&smid=url-shareJournalists cover (some) of the individual cases, but never even attempt to put them in context: namely, that this is by orders of magnitude the most corrupt administration in U.S. history. All trees, no forest.

       @dangillmor They always bring up the Teapot Dome. Grant died in poverty. The wise ones bring up LBJ, who was a pretty dirty player, famously in politics, less famously in money/finance. Children often mention Nixon, cuz of Watergate, tho, as politicians go, he was surprisingly clean.There is *nothing*, and I mean *nothing*, in American history to compare with this brazen "presidency as profit center" administration.

       @dangillmor Exactly. I told my friend about the reporter who was arrested by the Belgian police at the request of US ambassador for asking how he managed to find the personal information of a democracy activist. This should have been a major scandal, but he took it as the usual, no big deal.  But it is.  Every one of the trees that Trumpism sets alight adds to a fire of proportions that we could never have imagined. A fire in which our constitution, and our own democracy can be destroyed.

       @dangillmor US should try democracy, I think that would help 😊 What US have now, a system that lets one person decide, that is called a dictatorship.
