       today I learned about the Roe Deer Woman, aka the Bad Dürrenberg Shaman.  she was unearthed in Sachsen-Anhalt in 1934 along with a child and tools and animal bones, which led Nazis to proclaim her a mighty Arian chief hunter patriarch.  rather hilariously, later research showed that she was a 1) high-status woman, 2) from ca. 7000 BCE, i.e. from Old Europe (pre-Indo-European migrations) 3) probably dark-skinned 4) with a congenital disability (for today standards; she had a hole at the base of the skull, the foramen magnum; people with this condition are able to block blood flow to the brain at will by tilting the head, causing everything from strange tinglings to hallucinations; it's speculated that this trait might have led to a shaman-like position; the burial site of the Roe Deer woman was unusually rich, and apparently was getting offerings as late as 600 years after her death).https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_D%C3%BCrrenberg_burial#Occupants
