       Starting with January 2028, all Playstation games will be digital only. No more physical disks.Seems like GTA 6 coupon in the physical case was just the beginning of it.Era of ownership ends, rentership begins.Remember,  only this week, Playstation removed purchased movies from their platform. People who purchased the 'digital edition' of Terminator 2 like movies just saw their movies disappeared.Can Sony guarantee that the same won't happen with games?

       @itsfoss Yeah, I'm definitely not buying a playstation after hearing this. I was somewhat considering getting a used one, but nope. The one thing I liked about consoles was buying used games for cheap. I never bought playstation games digitally.

       @itsfoss ownership was a myth for years. Giving you a disk was pure theatre. So many games have online requirements, even for single player, that disk or not doesn't matter.

       @itsfoss And I can still turn my PS2 on, plug a USB with disk backups (since the drive is dead) and play like it's 2000s again. Won't be able to do that with most of my Xbox library. Piracy has been winning so much that is depressing, the idea of spending any honest money to feed these scumbags of companies feels morbid.
