       @libreoffice I experienced that people blame #FOSS for "crashing" the OOXML file format and someone even named ODT a "bad file format" because his closed source software did not implement the open standard correctly. So thank you for this post which will help to better explain to users.

       @libreoffice  From this slide, one may get the impression that this lock-in problem is limited to "FLOSS"  (an unknown acronym to your intended audience), while it, indeed affects everyone, "FLOSS" or not.

I don't know about all y'all, but in my experience it's a miracle if file made in one MS Word opens without changes in another MS Word :)
