       Went to a queer women’s event yesterday hosted by a friend who is a sex educator and we had a bunch of awesome discussions about disability! One story I found particularly interesting was about a blind person who was unable to access audio erotica because of the inaccessibility of apps and websites providing this kind of content. She introduced me to the term “arousal aid”—we love terms that erase stigma. And we talked about how to make her own website more accessible

       It was really interesting to hear her talk about things like a thigh strap from an accessibility perspective. And she repeated the idea that, “Disability is the one group we will all be a part of at some time”. Overall it was awesome to hear accessibility conversations outside of a computer-focused setting. And she made the great but should-be-obvious point that, “disabled people fuck too!”
