       I feel like asexuality should just mean not horny and everything else is just a different aspect of sexuality.You don't need to be horny for someone for it to count as a sexuality. You just need to have an interest in experiencing sexuality in some way.Some people wanna fuck cars.

       @Paradox Yeah, I'm basically not horny as in a general mindset or need/sex drive. I can "get aroused" in physical terms + enjoy the act, both from its physical PoV as well as a ritual of intimacy. But if I couldn't from tomorrow on, eh, I'd shrug and that's it.

       @shinyoukai @sathariel That's a much harder question.Categorizing the reasons people have to fuck is easier than categorizing the vague subsets of traits under the human condition that get labelled this or that gender.

       @Paradox @shinyoukai I agree, on my first post I was questioning if it's possible to lack of such a vital impulse, I could see rather as some kind of "imprinted" repression or a selective ignoring. In the other case you exposed it well, a matter of identity, self perceiving, experience, and social conventions.

       @Paradox @shinyoukai on other words undefined gender doesn't mean the lack of anything but a category, asexuality implies the lack of an impulse, a force, something that I doubt that can be non-present in human experience.

       @Paradox Yeah, I do identify as somewhat ace. The missing urge is what it is for me. Which doesn't mean that, as with food, if I'm sitting at the restaurant with good company, it smells good, atmosphere is relaxed... that I won't look forward to it. Actually I may be hyped even.I usually draw the comparison to chocolate: it's one of my lesser favorite sweets but I do like it. But if chocolate would ... vanish tomorrow, I wouldn't be in suffering but just get me something else. And similarly, I can just read before bed as well.
