The DB one checks meI show him my "Passzuschlag" for this service, and the guy is genuinely shocked - because I have this right, as this service has an extra supplement with Interrail"How did you even get this from DB?" he asked me 🤦♂️

BTW checking the border in Forbach is especially ridiculous as the town has this road: https://www.google.com/maps/@49.2066751,6.9521366,17z?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDYyMi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D that is Germany one side and France the other, for at least 1km. Try controlling that!

Also in these situations - today disruption due to heat - DB wins over SNCF any time. I just re-plan and take any seat on any train in the right direction. No compulsory reservation.
