       Some uses of that plane meme are just cute or clever.This one made me cry, perhaps because it's true: every trans woman I've met has been extremely tough & strong-willed.There is such a darkness lurking in that statement.There is great beauty in the will to survive in a world that tries to kill you, but no one should *ever* have to fight that hard to live & be themselves.No one should have to be that tough, & no one should be lost because they couldn't. There's great beauty in everyone.

       Transphobia has already taken far too much from us.Trans rights aren't a side-issue. Support for trans folks isn't optional.No one should *ever* have to fight that hard for survival, but as long as we are in a world where people do, we can't leave anyone to fight alone.

       Trans people who commit suicide didn't "lose the fight". They weren't "too weak". Let's never put the shame & the blame on the victims of a world intent on killing them.They were murdered. Their lives were stolen. They were taken from us.We lose too many precious people, many of them children, who never even had the chance to "toughen up" anyway because they were *kids*. They were supposed to be protected & loved, not thrown to the wolves.

       My personal philosophy is that everyone is significant & precious & needed.Protect trans kids. They need us. We also need them. The world loses something precious when we lose them.It's not just sad. It is an incalculable loss.
